Kew Gardens- The Palm House

Kew Gardens is located in Richmond in London. The gardens were founded in 1759 by the mother of King George III and Kew has grown to house the largest and most diverse botanical collections in the world with over 50,000 plants growing in the gardens. Part one of this series on Kew will focus on The Palm House, a Victorian glasshouse built in 1844 and housing nearly 300 tropical palm species and this video will provide information and growing tips on some of the palms and other plants growing here.
