A nice gentle walk around Culzean Castle, situated near the town of Maybole in South Ayrshire, Scotland. The castle overlooks the Firth of Clyde and offers panoramic views of the surrounding coastline. The original structure on the site dates back to the late 16th century, but the castle as it stands today was significantly rebuilt and expanded between 1777 and 1792 by the 10th Earl of Cassillis, David Kennedy. The architect responsible for its transformation was Robert Adam, one of Scotland’s most renowned architects. Adam's design turned the castle into a grand and elegant residence in the Scottish Baronial style. The castle is set within the Culzean Country Park, which spans over 600 acres of woodland, gardens, and coastline. The park features a variety of formal gardens, including a walled garden, a Victorian vinery, and a terraced garden. A beautiful walk! Do enjoy :) My 215th of hopefully many YouTube Walks.
