Glyphosate (Roundup), patented as an antibiotic, which is sprayed as a desiccant on crops and kills gut bacteria. NSAIDs (like ibuprofen and Naproxen), which cause holes in the gut wall and lead to leaky gut. Debunking Health Myths Protein: The common wisdom that we need a high amount of protein is a myth! Dr. Gundry (along with world-renowned longevity experts) advocates for much lower protein consumption. The recommended daily allowance is double what 95% of people need. Focus on gut repair to absorb the protein you do eat. Insulin Resistance: Strength training is a powerful tool to reverse insulin resistance. When muscles are working hard and numerous, they act as great customers for insulin, preventing elevated insulin levels which are a predictor of diseases like cancer and dementia. Brooke's "Bite-Sized Burns" philosophy (or "exercise snacking") supports this by encouraging small bursts of movement throughout the day.
