On 5 September 2022, the Respondent was awarded 89.6 BTC, on the basis the Bitcoin had been stolen from him. Huobi (now HTX) was named as a defendant, as it was said to hold or receive the funds. Huobi and Kyrrex said the wallet belonged to Kyrrex, but Kyrrex had no notice of the case, did not appear, and gave no evidence. Almost two years later, when Kyrrex learned of the judgment, it applied to set it aside so it could defend the claim. That application was refused.
