My great adventure. One of the most desired adventures since Disney launched the Lion King, from the time I was in Scouts and while discovering the paths of the Sintra Mountains, in my imagination I went through savannahs in Africa and hid from imaginary lions and giraffes. This was trip I desired since forever. It was part of my bucket list, and I finally managed to do it. The infinite and enchanted plains of Tanzania left me breathless and completely in love. Being in one of the few natural habitats left in the world, where elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, zebras, cheetahs, still live completely free, is just incredible. The lions were the first I saw, I started shooting photos as if there was no tomorrow, thinking that they would be the only ones I would see and that I was in luck. Luckily I saw many more and I calmed down with the camera, sat down, relaxed and enjoyed the moment. But actually, I was the luckiest of the world. Lucky to be there. We had the coolest guide ever. While all the other jeeps crowded around to see the same animal, Benny took us to places he already considered his and we ended up being eye in eye with animals that were "for our eyes only". I confess that one of the prime moments was when I saw "Pumba" !!! Yes, "pumbah" my favorite character in the movie King Lion. I asked Benny if I could jump out of the car and go hug him. The guide was shocked to think that I would be able to do it, such was my enthusiasm. To my great sorrow it did not happen. And the hotels ?! The most incredible I've ever been to. The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge with an indescribable view and staff that just made us want to take them home, the Four Seasons in the Serengeti with a pool where the elephants would drink water 2 times a day. Unbelievable. After the safaris we left for Zanzibar. Rita without a beach, is not Rita !!! And when I thought that this trip could not improve, txarammmm we arrived in paradise. This country is really blessed. We arrived at the hotel Essque Zalu Zanzibar and surprise of surprises the director is Portuguese. Dear Duarte. The hotel is beautiful with a restaurant that if I was there for another 3 days, I would have to roll out of there, because everything is irresistibly delicious. The beaches, the people, the Massai ritual massage, which only exists in this hotel. Everything was perfect. I rarely return to the same country, I always think I should know new places, but it is impossible not to return to Tanzania. I want to be happy again there. And I will be. See you soon Tanzania.
