KVR to damaged Othello Tunnels (BC, Hope)
The Othello Tunnels are the signature tourist attraction in Hope, BC and an engineering marvel of the Kettle Valley Railway. In November 2021 the water level rose high enough to flood the tunnels, cause serious erosion and push significant amounts of debris into the tunnels. We biked along the beautiful KVR trail from Hope to the tunnels in order to take a peek at the current state of damage.
