Afghanistan: Taliban Blow Up Statue in Bamiyan

Days after coming into power in Afghanistan, there is absolute chaos in the country. In today's video we bring to all the updates on what is happening in Afghanistan. The Taliban have allegedly damaged the statue of Hazara leader Abdul Ali Mazari in Bamiyan, a city in Afghanistan. Abdul Ali Mazari was a prominent leader in the fight against the Taliban. He was abducted and killed by the Taliban and his body flung from a helicopter in Ghazni in 1995. Pictures of the now desecrated statue in Bamiyan were widely shared on social media. Bamiyan is the same place where the Taliban had blown up the Budhha statues in 2001 on the orders of its then leader Mullah Mohammed Omar. A Taliban commander and senior leader of the Haqqani Network terrorist group, Anas Haqqani, has met former Afghan President Hamid Karzai for talks amid efforts by the Taliban to set up a government. The Haqqani Network led by Anas Haqqani, is an important part of the Taliban. The network, based on the border with Pakistan, was accused over recent years of some of the most deadly terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. The first pushback against the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan occurred in Jalalabad. Suddenly shots ring out, followed by staccato machine gun fire. The procession stops and people start raising slogans. Taliban fighters were seen enjoying rides at the amusement park. Some were crashing the bumper cars on each other, while others were seen making merry on the rides. In the latest video doing the rounds on social media, an entire amusement park is seen burning with massive flames covering the area at night. A Twitter user who shared the video has claimed the reason cited by the Taliban for burning down the amusement park is that there are statues and idols inside the park, which are against Islamic practices. Nimisha Fathima, along with three other women, had left Kerala allegedly to join the ISIS militant group a few years ago. All four women were then imprisoned in Afghanistan in 2019. It is now being speculated that the four women from Kerala are stranded in Kabul after a Taliban jailbreak freed them from prison. Nimisha Fathima’s mother K Bindu stated that she has received confirmation that her daughter was among those who were freed after the jailbreak. K Bindu is now requesting the central government to intervene and expedite efforts to bring her daughter and granddaughter back to India as the “Taliban no longer wants them there”.\Follow us for all the latest News & Entertainment and to keep up-to date on all the happenings at ISH News: Facebook:   / ishnews   Twitter:   / ishnews_tv   Instagram:   / ishnews   Official Site: http://www.ishnews.tv/ Thanks for watching!!
