Bonnie Watson Coleman: Celebrating a Career of Public Service

In conversation with veteran political strategist Donna Brazile, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman will reflect on her six-decade career in public service. Now serving her sixth term in the United States House of Representatives, Congresswoman Watson Coleman has spent her career advocating for New Jersey families and the equitable treatment of all people. The Lipman Chair was created to honor the legacy of the late state Senator Wynona Lipman, the first African American woman in the New Jersey State Senate. The Lipman Chair is intended to celebrate Senator Lipman, remind people of her achievements, and encourage others to follow in the footsteps of this path-breaking African American woman leader.
