Ep7&8: Epoxy Granite CNC Design - Tramming with Epoxy
In Episode 7&8, I have a Taig CNC mill with an aftermarket frame to learn from. I tram the column to the base with JB Weld epoxy. I test the deflection of the column both before and after the epoxy is applied. *Re-upload with better editing to get rid of dead air* I'm designing an epoxy granite CNC machine, benchtop sized. The focus on this series will be on the "why" of the CNC machine design. The CAD software I'm using is Onshape. I'm a mechanical engineer, but I don't have CNC design experience, so I'll be learning as I'm going.
