Since 1982, he has been exhibiting his paintings, and since 1988, he has participated in group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. In 1990, his first solo exhibition was held at the Podol History Museum. In total, he has participated in over 50 solo and group exhibitions, including at the National Art Museum (1997, 2012), the Kyiv Museum of Russian Art (2003, 2005), the Cherkasy Art Museum (2014), the Berlin Wall Museum, the Ukrainian Institute of America (New York, 2014), and the European House (London, 2014), among others. He was greatly influenced by the works of Georges Rouault, Soutine, Francisco Goya, and others. Together with critic Andrei Mokrousov, he developed the concept of the artistic rearguard, which he illustrates in his work. Far from mimetic, he was also never close to abstractionism. Without identifying as a religious artist or believer in the Orthodox sense, he continually turns to biblical themes (Days of Creation, 2000, Book of Job, Scenes from the Tanakh). In 2014, he unexpectedly turned to contemporary events that took place in Kyiv in 2013-14, resulting in a series titled "Wall."
