#156 - Dr. J Geetha Reddy Samarpan at Sivam (Apr 2026)

Sri Sathya Sai Students (Alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Educational Institutions) are organizing an evening program entitled “SAMARPAN” on the 4th Sunday of every month at Sivam, Hyderabad. It is about re-living those moments spent with HIM, re-connecting with HIM and soaking in the Divine presence. We have an opportunity to listen to the Leelas of the Lord from the devotees who were blessed with Divine association through “SAMARPAN” The #156 SAMARPAN is being held at SIVAM on the evening of 26th April 2026. We are truly blessed to have in the "Dhanya Jeevulu" series, Dr. J Geetha Reddy as the speaker for the day, where devotees of Swami share their Divine experiences. Dr. J Geetha Reddy, a native of Hyderabad, was born into a politically active family as the daughter of Late. Smt. Eshwari Bai, a prominent leader and former MLA who greatly influenced her future in public life. She pursued her medical education at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, and went on to become a qualified gynecologist as well as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London. Between 1971-1982, she worked abroad in Australia, London, and Saudi Arabia, gaining valuable professional experience. In 1980, during this period, she had her first DIVINE darshan in Brindavan, Bangalore, marking the beginning of a deep and lasting spiritual association with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. After returning to India in 1982, Dr. J Geetha Reddy transitioned from medicine to public service, inspired by both her upbringing and her exposure to societal needs. She entered politics and was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Gajwel in 1989 and again in 2004, and later from Zaheerabad in 2009 and 2014 in Medak district. Over the years, she held several important ministerial portfolios in the Andhra Pradesh government. She also served as the Leader of the Assembly from 2009 to 2010, and during her tenure as Minister for Tourism, the Sai Aramam Hotel at Puttaparthi was inaugurated by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in 2005. Alongside her political career, Dr. J Geetha Reddy's spiritual journey continued to play a significant role in shaping her service-oriented approach. Guided by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, she contributed to initiatives such as the Sri Sathya Sai Drinking Water Supply Project in Andhra Pradesh and participated in several events connected to HIS mission. She is married to Dr. Ramachandra Reddy, and they have a daughter, with the family maintaining ties to healthcare and education. Her contributions to public life and social service have been widely recognized through awards such as the Mahila Shiromani Award, the Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana Award, and the ASSOCHAM Ladies League Hyderabad Women of the Decade Achievers Award, reflecting her lifelong dedication to society.
