This elegant five-gaited mare, born in 2012 and now 14 years old, has already experienced quite a bit in her life – she has raised several wonderful foals, most recently last year, and is now back in full training and ready for her life as a riding horse. What's noticeable about her is that all this experience has made her incredibly composed and cool, without ever becoming boring. A large, sturdy horse, standing around 1.42 m (14 hands) tall, and bred in Germany. *Five Gaits, Plenty of Tölt, and a Racing Pace That's Fun* Kná possesses all the gaits – and a great deal of natural tölt, always with a clear rhythm. Her tölt can be elicited with or without reins without her speeding up, with beautiful tempo variation up to a good medium pace. And if you want to pick up the pace even more, she'll unleash her flying pace – she's really good at it, confident and easy, and it comes right back to a trot with ease. She also has good basic gaits and a lively trot. The warmer she gets, the lighter and more beautiful she becomes in the hand, and the more refined her movement becomes – in all gaits. She's responsive to the leg, and light, supple exercises are a joy to ride with her. Her temperament is pleasantly moderate: she wants to move forward and please her rider, but remains completely calm and collected – nothing hectic, nothing hysterical. And if you simply want to walk calmly, you can give her the reins, and she'll walk serenely. She's truly fun on the big arena or out on the trails when you can really let her loose. *Courageous, cool, and unflappable* What makes Kná so special is her composure. She hasn't spooked once in any of the things we've tried to do with her. Garbage can, tarp – completely unfazed, even if the tarp falls down and she steps on it. She's curious and attentive instead of skittish. Cars, traffic, bicycles, vacuum cleaners, farm tractors – none of it bothers her. A honking car almost puts her to sleep, and she goes into the cowshed so naturally that the cows are more curious about her than the other way around. During manure spreading season, when one tractor after another drives through our village, you can really see how composed she remains. This very combination opens many doors. For someone who wants to ride at a faster pace, Kná is a true all-rounder – perfect for beautiful, long trail rides as well as for competitive riding, trail riding, or for riding badges, instructor training courses, and workshops.
