I Created a Natural Tank for a Mysterious Pair of Fish | Will This Work?
In this video, I created a natural aquarium tank for a mysterious pair of Channa fish (Channa asiatica) Before combining them into one tank, both fish were kept side by side in separate tanks for months. This method helps reduce stress, allows them to recognize each other, and minimizes the risk of serious aggression. Channa fish are highly territorial, so some initial conflict is normal. Not all Channa species can live together in many cases, one fish may dominate or bully the other. In this situation, both fish are equally strong and eventually chose to coexist. The setup uses a simple natural tank design with dried grass and Indian almond leaves (ketapang leaves) to create a blackwater style environment. Ketapang leaves help lower pH, release tannins, reduce stress, and support natural behavior in Channa fish. This video focuses on responsible fish keeping, understanding fish behavior, and patience not forcing compatibility. #aquariumsetup #channafish #fishtank
