UPDATE: Law No. 14,661/2023 added art. 1,815-A to the Civil Code, which reads as follows: "In any of the cases of unworthiness provided for in art. 1,814, the final judgment of the criminal conviction will result in the immediate exclusion of the unworthy heir or legatee, regardless of the sentence provided for in the caput of art. 1,815 of this Code."
