Yorkshire Classic Championship Trial 3 - Litton = 23rd April 23

Dave Emmott Memorial Trial - Litton- 23rd April 2023 - Championship round 3 What a fabulous day for a trial in the Yorkshire Dales. Light cloud and sunny intervals and no rain, much better than forecast. Here is the video with most of the 60 riders that turned out, several of whom were guests for the day practicing/bike checking for the Pre65 Scottish 2 day that starts on Friday the 28th April. Ben Butterworth came out on top, losing his single slack dab on section 2 on his first lap and it was caught by Malcolms camera. Sorry for showing it twice Ben but the slo-mo does show how well your Ariel rides. Jimmy Noble (Ariel), Paul Heys (Cub) and Chris Garlick BSA (C15) shared 2nd spot losing 2 marks each. Russ Rooksby (Ariel) and Paul Dennis (Bantam) were next on 6 followed closely by p65 moto-cross expert Sean Radcliffe (C15) and Steve Douglas on George Emmott's old Triumph twin each losing 7. On the Intermediate (50/50) route Paul Whittaker (James) took the honours on 11, less than half the marks of Darren Johnson's Triumph Twin. Carl Winstanley (James) lost only 3 well ahead of his rivals with Steve Gossop bringing his Ariel into 2nd spot on 7. Niel Anderton took the Gentle route on hi Bantam on 15. A big thanks to the clerks of the course George Emmott, Dan Clark and Neil Anderton, observers and all invoved in organising the event.
