Tenerife Remote Trails — Day 6 | The Perfect Ending

Day 6 of my week hiking across the remote side of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. For the final hike of the trip, I set off from the green valley of El Palmar and climb onto the high ridges overlooking the island's rugged northwest coast. Under a clear blue sky, the views stretch far across the Atlantic. Along the way, I can see the neighbouring islands of La Gomera and La Palma on the horizon, while Mount Teide and Pico Viejo dominate the skyline in front of me. This 13 km hike finishes in the mountain village of Erjos, where I look back on an unforgettable week exploring some of Tenerife's most remote trails. From volcanic deserts and lava flows to cloud forests, mountain ridges and Atlantic coastlines, this island delivered far more variety than I expected. If you enjoy hiking, Tenerife is a destination I can wholeheartedly recommend.
