Geely officially debuts two new SUVs in Italy: the EX5 electric model and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid. With these two models, the Chinese giant—also owner of Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, and Lynk & Co.—is targeting the premium market, relying on Jameel Motors Italia for its sales and service network. The Geely EX5 is a 4.61-meter electric SUV with a 218 hp engine and a 60 kWh LFP battery, providing a range of up to 430 km (WLTP) and fast charging from 30 to 80% in 20 minutes. The extensive standard equipment includes a 15.4-inch infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS, and air conditioning with a heat pump. Prices start from €38,900. The Geely Starray EM-i, on the other hand, is a plug-in hybrid SUV with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and a 218 hp electric motor, an 18.4 kWh battery, and a range of up to 83 km in electric mode.
