Day 1: Bangalore to Auroville and Pondicherry Adventures 6:30 AM: Our journey began at 6:30 AM from Bangalore, heading towards the coastal beauty of Pondicherry. Arrival in Auroville & Check-in at Sea View Cottage: Upon reaching Auroville, we checked into our beautiful beach-front property, Sea View Cottage, which is attached to Quiet Beach. The peaceful setting made it the perfect place to unwind after the drive. Lunch at Hope Cafe, Auroville: After settling in, we went to Hope Cafe for lunch. Nestled in Auroville, the cafe is known for its relaxed atmosphere and great food—a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a casual and delicious meal. Evening Mangrove Forest Ride (Will’s Boathouse): The highlight of the evening was a private boat ride through the stunning mangrove forest at Will’s Boathouse in Pondicherry. The boat ride, costing ₹2500 for a private boat or ₹500 per person (for a group of 10), covered three places, the Pondicherry Fishing Harbour and the river mouth as well. It was a serene and scenic experience that allowed us to connect with nature. Rock Beach: After sunset we made our way to Rock Beach, where we relaxed by the sea and enjoyed the refreshing breeze. The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore made it a perfect spot to spend the evening. Dinner at Zuck Chocolate Cafe: We wrapped up our first day with dinner at Zuck Chocolate Cafe, which is located opposite Rock Beach. The chocolate desserts here are treat to any foodie. Day 2: Sunrise, Beaches, and Auroville Exploration Sunrise at Quiet Beach: We started our second day by witnessing a beautiful sunrise at Quiet Beach, conveniently located next to our stay. The peaceful and less-crowded beach was a wonderful way to start the day. Just 5 minutes from Quiet Beach, there is Serenity Beach. Breakfast at Bread and Chocolate Cafe: Next, we stopped by Bread and Chocolate Cafe for breakfast. Even though it was a Sunday and the cafe was crowded, it was well worth the short wait. The food was outstanding, and the ambiance added to the experience. Exploring Auroville: Post-breakfast, we spent time exploring the spiritual haven of Auroville, known for its serene environment and unique blend of nature and spirituality. It’s a calming experience that recharges you, both mentally and physically. Check-out & Visit to Eden Beach: After our visit to Auroville, we returned to our stay to check out. Then, we made our way to Eden Beach, a pristine, blue flag-certified beach known for its cleanliness and beautiful surroundings. It’s the perfect spot to spend your final hours in Pondicherry. We also grabbed lunch here, enjoying backwaters view. Departure for Bangalore: After our beach visit and lunch, we wrapped up our trip and started the journey back to Bangalore, with wonderful memories of Pondicherry.
