追手門学院小学校 座禅会〜昭和42年から続く伝統行事

We present a video of Otemon Gakuin Elementary School's traditional "Zazen Kai" (Zen Meditation Ceremony). Zazen Kai has been held annually since 1967, with two grades gathering at the 110th Memorial Hall. After receiving instruction on posture, breathing techniques, and mental preparation from a monk from the Obaku sect of Buddhism, students begin zazen at the sound of a mokugyo (wooden fish).
