A Good Raspberry for the Deep South - Even in Florida!

Though the South - especially zones 8, 9 and 10 - is not a great place to grow raspberries, there is a variety that thrives right into the tropics! Introducing the Mysore raspberry, a productive and beautiful raspberry that grows in the south, through heat and some cold, producing abundant crops. Bonus: it also makes a good death hedge, as the thorns are unbelievable. If you want a Florida raspberry variety, this is it! It also is a good raspberry for the southern portions of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
