Southern California Firestorms, October 24-27, 2003 (Volume 1 of 3)

On October 24, 2003, a number of firestorms began in Southern California. Volume 1 begins with a firestorm in Rancho Cucamonga. Local coverage in the video is by KTTV-TV Channel 11 starting at 8:45 AM Pacific Time, and then by KCBS-TV Channel 2 . Total coverage is about 2 1/2 hours. On the morning of October 26, 2003, a firestorm threatened Simi Valley. Local coverage begins with KNBC-TV Channel 4 at about 6:20 AM Pacific Time and continues into October 27, 2003. Another firestorm began the night before that destroyed homes in San Bernardino, and is now in the San Bernardino Mountains near Crestline. The firestorm that began in Rancho Cucamonga has reached Devore. A fourth firestorm destroyed homes in Claremont and heads towards LaVerne.
