If normal attacks are counted as 1 hit, Sabimaru's front attacks and aerial attacks are treated as 0.5 hits. (The grappling hook attack is probably counted as 1 hit, and since it has two stages, it's 2 hits; the Sabimaru's switching attack is counted as 1 hit.) In actual combat, aerial attacks are usually mixed in before 16 hits, so if you count everything as 1 hit, it's easy to mistakenly think that the enemy will flinch on the 17th hit. If you aim for 15 counts and use [Sabimaru front - switching attack], the ideal result is [15.5 - 16.5 (flinch)]. Even if you miscount by one, if an aerial attack is included, it will start at 15.5, so the enemy will flinch at the start of Sabimaru, making it safe [16 (flinch) - 17]. Conversely, setting it to 14 results in [14.5 - 15.5 (not enough)]. Setting it to 16 might result in 17 hits and flinching prematurely. Also, if 16 hits are achieved with normal attacks alone, it's game over. Conclusion: 15 counts was good! *This only applies to the first playthrough as enemies get stronger in subsequent playthroughs; attack power and buffs have no effect. Also, my own research *In the video, in the case of the last poisoning of the second gauge, [15.5 ➡ 16.5 (hit and flinches) ➡ 17.5 (Rust-Ball starts: but already flinched)], the counting mistake is not covered because the 15 setting is not followed. However, at the time I thought that 17 hits of a normal attack would flinch, so it was actually correct.
