In this video, ceramic artist Nicole Hummel discusses the decoration technique of slip trailing. She will show some of her own work, exemplifying the final product and what she enjoys about it, and then talk about variables that affect success with the method. She will demonstrate some practice/warm up techniques including decorating a bat, and then finally decorate some leather hard ceramic pieces.
