On my last video I told you about a Pennsylvania State Police trooper killed during a roadside inspection on I-81. Since that video dropped the driver has now been formally charged with homicide — 10 counts including felony vehicular homicide and a $700,000 bail. Then CBP officers at the Pharr International Bridge in Texas found $3.7 million in cocaine hidden inside a commercial truck manifested as cucumbers — 112 packages, 278 pounds, and the cartels thought produce was going to get it through. And an Arizona DPS trooper pulled over the same CMV driver twice in two weeks — no CDL both times, no seatbelt both times, and zero operational trailer brakes discovered on the second stop. Story 1 — Truck Driver Charged With Homicide Of Pennsylvania Trooper Killed On I-81 The driver has been identified as Michael Bon, 33, of Massachusetts. Bon faces 10 charges including felony vehicular homicide and felony vehicular aggravated assault. Bail set at $700,000. Trooper Michael E. Pahira Jr., 44, joined the Pennsylvania State Police in January 2007 and served as a Motor Carrier Inspector with Troop L Frackville — dedicating nearly 20 years specifically to commercial vehicle safety. At 7am on July 1 Trooper Pahira was conducting an inspection on southbound I-81 at mile marker 119.3 in Cass Township with his patrol cruiser parked behind the inspected vehicle with emergency lighting fully activated. Bon's CMV left the roadway, struck the patrol cruiser's side view mirror, struck the rear of the inspected vehicle, then struck Trooper Pahira. Both vehicles caught fire. Story 2 — CBP Finds $3.7 Million In Cocaine Hidden In Commercial Truck Manifested As Cucumbers On June 24 2026 CBP officers at the Pharr International Bridge in Texas referred a commercial tractor-trailer for secondary inspection. The manifest said cucumbers. A canine alert triggered a nonintrusive imaging system scan which revealed anomalies inside the trailer. Physical inspection uncovered 112 packages containing 126.5 kilograms — 278 pounds — of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $3,723,654. The narcotics, tractor, and trailer were all seized. Homeland Security Investigations initiated a criminal investigation. Port Director Carlos Rodriguez confirmed CBP officers are on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week employing every resource to detect and deter those who attempt to exploit the border. Story 3 — CMV Driver Pulled Over Twice By Same Arizona Trooper — No CDL Both Times, No Trailer Brakes On Second Stop Two weeks ago an Arizona DPS trooper stopped a CMV driver in the Phoenix valley area and found no CDL and no seatbelt. Citations were issued. Then on July 2 2026 the same trooper pulled over the same driver again. Same violations — no CDL, no seatbelt. This time a deeper inspection revealed zero operational trailer brakes on a vehicle hauling heavy machinery. AZDPS confirmed — working brakes are non-negotiable. The vehicle was placed out of service until a licensed CDL holder arrived and the brakes were repaired. The same driver. The same trooper. The same violations.
