Pyrophoric Nickel Hydrogenation Catalyst / Nickel Oxalate Preparation
In this video, I first prepare nickel oxalate dihydrate from basic nickel carbonate. I then pyrolyze it to form very finely divided nickel, which is pyrophoric in air. I will be using this to perform a hydrogenation in a later video.
