This isn't an advertisement for this company, I just took what was available at the store. There are tons of them, these manufacturers of these glues. Let's open it and see what it's all about. Here's a tube like this, and here we have a little bundle like this. This sausage-shaped thing contains two components. When the components are separate, they don't dry, but when you mix them, a reaction occurs, and they begin to dry. It's called cold welding, but you have to understand, of course, that it's not welding at all. It doesn't weld hot or cold, meaning it doesn't melt metal. If you need to weld two pieces of metal, for example, it won't fuse them together. It's just regular glue. Essentially, it's epoxy resin with some additives, made to resemble a kind of plasticine consistency. It's like liquid nails; it's just a regular glue, that's the name. Let's mix it, let's stir it up and then we'll use it. Of course, it's recommended to mix it with gloves. I do it without gloves, and it's comfortable for me, but you need to mix it well without gloves. I use this universal glue. They have ones for all kinds of materials: plastic, metal, porcelain. Basically, it's an automatic watering timer; I have one in my greenhouse, and it had a pipe attached to the top. There was a plastic thread here, and it just cracked in the May frosts. Now I want to stick it all on with cold welding. I'll superglue it now so it doesn't move, and I'll use cold welding to seal everything so water can't get in, leak, or seep through. Anyway, this is what the structure looked like this morning. Well, what can I say, this stuff does stick to your hands, and it's not very easy to wash off afterwards. I don't like wearing gloves because I can't feel what I'm doing. If you wet your fingers a little, so they're just damp, the epoxy won't stick to them anymore, so you can shape it, press it where you need it, and smooth it out with slightly damp fingers. By morning, it was solid as a rock; you can drill it, saw it, sand it, file it, whatever. Well, everything seems to be holding together; now we'll check if it's leaking. Well, I don't think so; it's already a solid structure. I have almost no pressure here; my barrel is about a meter above the ground, so the pressure is very low. That's it, it's cold welding; the structure is now solid, you can't tear it apart. Now I can screw this nut on here. I'll turn on the water and my sprinkler system, which was damaged by the frost, will work.
