In PES 2009 you can FOOL THE REFEREE (and almost nobody knows this)

FAKE FOULS! In PES 2009, there’s a command that lets your player dive to the ground. (L1 + L2 + R1) During a match, you can be clever — wait for your opponent to make a move to win the ball, then use this command to dive and deceive the referee. When using this command, you need to be a good actor, because if you mistime it, the referee will give you a yellow card — and if you’re already booked, it’s a red card!
