The Stages of The Sunday Law

In this study we focus on the prophecy of the national Sunday law in Revelation 13. This prophecy reveals how the United States, initially a beacon of religious liberty, will eventually unite with the papacy to enforce Sunday worship globally, leading to persecution against those who remain faithful to God’s commandments—particularly the Sabbath. We examine the four progressive stages of the Sunday law: Refraining from work on Sunday—where believers are advised to avoid labor on Sunday while using the day for missionary outreach. Social pressure and fines—as religious leaders and authorities attempt to silence dissent, pressuring Sabbath-keepers through threats and alienation. Imprisonment and exile—when laws are enacted to punish those who refuse Sunday observance. The death decree—issuing after probation closes, though God’s sealed people will be divinely protected. The study emphasized that the final crisis will test every believer’s faith, with many compromising under pressure. However, like Daniel, our daily walk with God—strengthened by prayer and Scripture—will determine our faithfulness in that hour. The Third Angel’s Message (Rev. 14:9-12) will swell into a loud cry, exposing the mark of the beast (Sunday worship) and calling all to choose loyalty to Christ. Let us prepare now—not in fear, but through a living relationship with Jesus—so that when the storm comes, we will stand unshaken, upheld by His power. The time to seek God is today.
