This documentary film takes place at the Sultanate of Oman. This country is famous for its legendary navigators amongst whom the most well-known was Ahmad Ibn Mâdjid, who inspired the famous character of The Tales of the Arabian Nights : Sinbad the Sailor. This journey from the desert to the sea in the Sour region is dedicated to handcrafted practices but also to Bedouin fishermen and their traditional fishing methods on dhows. Dhows are strange crafts made of wood that built the reputation and affluence of the region. Alexandre Mostras unveils Oman, a place built in a traditional way in the dockyard of the town. Its inhabitants celebrate their country with passion and humility, between modernity and respect of their identity.
