We trusted a special educator with our non-verbal autistic son, Vihaan. We believed he would learn, grow, and be understood. But soon, we noticed changes in his behavior, fear, resistance, anxiety. Our hearts told us something wasn’t right. As parents, we gathered the courage to place a hidden camera. What the camera recorded… shattered us completely. Hair pulling, hitting, hurting him a child who cannot speak or defend himself. This video is not to target any teacher or create hate. This is to create awareness for every parent of a non-verbal or autistic child. Our children cannot express their pain through words… but they express it through behaviour, fear, silence. We must listen. Every child deserves safety, dignity, and respect. Every special education centre must have transparency and accountability. And CCTV shouldn’t be an option, it should be a necessity. This is one of the most painful experiences of our lives, but we are sharing it so that no other child has to go through this.
