This Lake District Trail Centre is an E-MTB dream!

Welcome to Whinlatter forest park and the North Loop and South Loop MTB trails. In this video I took my EMTB to find out if it was a good location to ride it. Whinlatter Forest, located in the Lake District of England, is renowned for its mountain biking (MTB) trails, offering a variety of routes suitable for different skill levels. Here’s a breakdown of the trails available: 1. Altura Trail Length: 19 km (12 miles) Grade: Red (difficult) Description: The Altura Trail is a challenging route designed for experienced riders. It features technical climbs, fast descents, and stunning views of the Lake District. The trail includes natural features like rocks and roots, as well as man-made elements such as berms, jumps, and drop-offs. There are two loops, North and South, which can be ridden separately or combined for a longer ride. This is definitely trail that I would recommend, including the black extension on the south loop. 2. Quercus Trail Length: 7.5 km (4.7 miles) Grade: Blue (moderate) Description: The Quercus Trail is ideal for intermediate riders and families looking for a fun and moderately challenging ride. It features a mix of forest roads and singletrack with gentle climbs and flowing descents. The trail includes some technical sections but is generally less demanding than the Altura Trail. I would avoid this trail on the ebike. It is not a lot of fun. 0:00 Intro 0:23 Why did I come to Whinlatter MTB? 2:09 The South Loop at Whinlatter MTB trails 3:56 The black descent on the South Loop 7:01 The red descent on the South Loop 9:36 The Quercus Trail is disappointing for an experienced rider 10:18 The North Loop at Whinlatter MTB 15:24 This descent is really good! 16:59 The final red descent on the North Loop is excellent! 19:41 Whinlatter MTB trails - drone footage... 20:07 These trails are worth a visit.
