Ethan Leinwand performing the Brazilian tune, Tico Tico, by Zequinha de Abreu. Like many fans of New Orleans piano, I was exposed to this song by the great version from James Booker. I hadn't played this song in quite some time, but it was requested during one of my Facebook Livestreams recently. I cut out the first minute or so of me fumbling through trying to remember it. Once I finally got a hold of it, this sloppy but boisterous version came out. Lots of goofing around here - some more successful than others - but I was trying to capture a bit of Booker's classical piano flair.
