Pamplona kicked off its San Fermin festival with the traditional Chupinazo (fireworks), which this year was launched by the Yala Nafarroa for Palestine platform, with the cry of "Long Live Free Palestine." From the early hours, the Town Hall Square was filled with people dressed in white and red, many of them hoarse and sleepy, but eager to experience the festival that attracts thousands of people each year. Despite the euphoria and festive atmosphere, police charged some attendees, resulting in one arrest. As the square filled, anticipation grew for the Chupinazo, which took more than half a minute to ignite.
