Guadalcanal Diary - "Gilbert Takes the Wheel" - 688, Atlanta, Ga. - 7/01/83
Guadalcanal Diary bashing out an instrumental from "Walking in the Shadow of the Big Man". This show at 688 in Atlanta, Ga. is one of the better ones captured on my old Panasonic camera. Focus isn't too bad, sound is good, and the band is great. Murray is exceptionally animated and John attacks the drums (according to David McNair) like he was killing snakes. This entire show presents a young band playing with abandon. It also showcases the production of the 688 club. They had about the best PA and lighting of any club on the circuit. They'd put up the white, tile-looking backdrop during the time of this show, giving a different look and presenting more lighting opportunities. Set to highest rez and find more stuff at / rottingtapes Thanks
