Odisha Expert Committee Recommends Correcting 55 Places / Odisha Mandates Electric Vehicles In a significant step towards preserving linguistic and cultural authenticity, a high-level expert committee headed by Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. Pratibha Ray has recommended corrections to the English spellings of more than 55 places across Odisha. In a landmark move to combat rising fuel costs and reduce the government’s carbon footprint, the Odisha Finance Department has issued a firm directive: every official vehicle hired from today must be electric.
