13-Year-Old Uses Bionic Arm to Put on Makeup
Tilly Lockey, 13, was able to shake the Dalai Lama's hand thanks to her personalized bionic arms. She can brush her teeth, put on makeup and hold things in her hand with them. When Tilly was a toddler she nearly died from an infection. She lost the majority of both of her arms. She is now working with a tech company to develop bionic hands for people with disabilities so she and other teens like her can do the things they love.
