Mais Surpresas e Mais Móveis na Quinta em Portugal!

Another day full of discoveries and surprises on our farm in Portugal! We finally discovered the true identity of the tree everyone thought was a peach tree: after opening the fruit, we saw that we have a beautiful almond tree laden with almonds! We also set up a new outdoor room in the threshing floor, cleaned the stairs, installed the sunshade, and showed why we prefer to put water, instead of sand, at its base. But not everything was a pleasant surprise… We found even more buried trash, this time under the granary, with plastics, tiles, and lots of broken glass. We are also preparing the land for the arrival of the tractor and the team that will take care of the water wells. We also harvested pears, apples, and plums, checked on the persimmons, figs, oranges, and olives, checked the seedlings we planted, and started planning the transformation of the old tank into a swimming pool for next summer. Little by little, this farm, abandoned for almost 30 years, is coming back to life — and every day it teaches us something new. ❤️ Did you already know how to tell an almond tree from a peach tree?
