Jesus is the shepherd who calls us, and we need to listen, know, and follow him. Let's reflect on these three words: 1 - Listen Someone who listens is someone who seeks, and therefore, it is already a different attitude. But in the midst of so much noise, it can sometimes be difficult to identify the voice of God. And how do we distinguish it? We need to be alert, because the Lord doesn't speak to our ears, He speaks to our hearts. The sound that reaches the heart and fills it is the sound of God. Therefore, the foundation must be love. We will only learn to hear Him when we learn to love Him. 2 – To Know Jesus says that He knows us. To know is to belong. We are daughters and sons of God, and it is by recognizing this belonging that we become capable of accepting the love He has for us. 3 - To Follow I believe this is the most difficult part, because to follow, it is necessary to remain in God. However, we are fickle and often we are not aware that we have a journey with this God of love eternally. Remaining is a great challenge, but it is also the great secret. Therefore, it is necessary first to be alert to recognize the voice of the Lord; second, to accept that we are His, and no one can take us away from Him from the moment we understand this; And finally, have a heart willing to remain, so that we can follow wherever He leads. When was the last time you stopped to listen to the Lord? For that is the first step.
