Ennio Morricone: "Gabriel's Oboe" Theme from the film 'The Mission' | arr. organ by Jack L. Stacey

This video was recorded on the 22nd of June 2025, as part of my concert celebrating St Paul's Bakery Hill J.W Walker Pipe Organ's 160th anniversary. If you watched The Mission, then you have heard Gabriel's Oboe. It may be a small, simple piece, but it evokes nostalgia and serenity, and most certainly a pastoral mood. This piece is a beautiful work to arrange for the organ, especially when you can let the Oboe reeds take the solo, as is the namesake of this work.
