Hidden issues! Repairing a used and abused Tissot Seastar - ETA 2846
Repair job on a Tissot Seastar A660/760K men's automatic watch with an ETA2846 movement, hoping to restore it to working order. The watch was purchased on auction and runs for a short time then stops. The watch cannot be wound very far without the mainspring snapping back. My assumption going into this was that I would discover a broken mainspring - however, it ended up being something else entirely... I am an amateur who enjoys restoring vintage watches to working order. Constructive critiques of the process are welcome. I am always learning.
