Dudhia is a beautiful place located in Darjeeling district. The center of attraction of this place is the Balasan river flowing here. Dudhia is a place situated in the middle of the road from Siliguri to Mirig and southwest of Pankhbari. Dudhia Located at a distance of about 30 kms from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and Siliguri Bus Stand, you can reach here at a drive of about 1 hour. You can easily reach this place in your car via Mirik Road or Sukhna. You can also go via Dudhia Pankhbari Road where you can see the lush green tea gardens. On the way to Dudhia, you can visit the local market here, Bange Bazaar, and you can enjoy the local cuisine here. You will find Thukpa, Momo, Taipu in almost all the restaurants and roadside stalls. Proceeding further you can see Dudhia Bridge. This bridge is a truss bridge over Balasan river. Which is a bridge connecting Dudhia and Mirik. From Dudhia you can go to Mirik located across the Balasan river. Dudhia is a place surrounded by beautiful mountains, after crossing the Dudhia Bridge, you can go to Mukti Khola View Point, you can enjoy the beautiful views around you on this path. Dudhia is surrounded by tea gardens such as Longview Tea Garden, Ghyabari Tea Garden, Marianabari Tea Garden and Panighata Tea Garden. Here you can see beautiful tea gardens. Dudhia is a serene and mind-blowing place. The Balasun River flowing here comes from Jorepokhari, Sukhia and flows southeast into the plains of North Bengal, where it joins the Mahananda River. You can spend some time here on the banks of the river and apart from enjoying the river you can also do other activities here like here you can go to the picnic spot for picnic, Dudhia picnic spot, you can also enjoy camping and trekking here. Also around the river there is a shooting range of the armed forces which you can visit. You can easily visit this place by staying in Siliguri.
