Auf geht's: eine kleine Entdeckungstour auf Usedom

June 27, 2021. Day 2 of my weekend on Usedom. The day before, I cycled from Berlin to Świnoujście. Despite the exhaustion, I really want to cycle a bit on #Usedom before returning home. The plan is to cycle from Świnoujście to Peenemünde on the Berlin-Usedom cycle path. Świnoujście is worth a visit; I check out the harbor and the promenade. But I check my train connections and realize that it will take forever to get from Peenemünde to Berlin, and I'll have to change trains four times. So I decide to turn west in Zinnowitz and cycle to Züssow, through Wolgast, where I can take the train directly to Berlin. A beautiful tour of the island, mostly on good gravel, and with a great holiday atmosphere. Lots of people on the road, maybe too many. It's difficult to go home; it would be best if I stayed there. But I definitely need to recover for the next tour. I'm actually completely exhausted and will have a hard time riding these 66 kilometers. It certainly won't be the last time I ride to Usedom!
