Muni Siemens LRV4: A Tale of Two Rides

On a day out to San Francisco, I rode not one, but two of Muni's newest Siemens Light Rail Vehicles (LRV4) and managed to get two of them in one station. Vehicle 2009 is an outbound L-Taraval train, which I rode from Powell to Van Ness stations. Vehicle 2006, the unit I first rode when the new LRV series debuted in October 2017, is an inbound N-Judah train. Originally ending at Caltrain Depot at 4th & King Streets, it changed terminals upon arriving at Folsom Street Station, terminating instead at Third & 23rd Streets, close to Muni Metro East (MME) Yard. I rode 2006 again from Van Ness to 4th & King before setting off to yet another adventure.
