The Great Seal of King Charles III

King Charles III has approved the new Great Seal of the United Kingdom at a Privy Council meeting at Buckingham Palace. Traditionally, a new Great Seal is produced upon the accession of a new sovereign, but it has taken over two and a half years for King Charles III's seal to appear. The Great Seal is used to signify the sovereign's will and consent on important governmental documents, particularly on letters patent for appointments and grants.
