There are two major brief screening tools used in practice to identify signs of hazardous drinking and dependence:Don't believe the quantity of alcohol in face value as alcoholism has a stigma and they will not directly say the amount consumed. CAGE questionnaire: a brief, easy to use screening test consisting of only four questions. AUDIT-C: a shortened version of the AUDIT screening tool, consisting of three questions.
