For generations, the women of Afghanistan have struggled to secure their human rights and fulfil their potential. Through her family’s own story, and with support from an activist inside the country, Furugh reveals how the women of Afghanistan have never given up. Furugh was born in Afghanistan, but became a child refugee along with her family after the first Taliban regime took over. Her family settled in Prague, Czech Republic. She studied international relations in the US and works today in Prague. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
