Eku: A Central, Overlooked Aspect of the Fighting Boat Oar
My hypothesis is that eku fighting forms and techniques are deeply tied to it's origin as a boat oar and the way the martial art utilizes the original use's grip and motions is a fairly unique thing in global martial arts history. I test that theory by getting out on the water with the same eku I was training with on land.
