Three Teachings of the Antichrist - You Need to Know Before It's Too Late
The Antichrist will deceive millions with three teachings. You need to know what they are, because most Christians will be misled—and probably are already deceived. Here is what you need to know. From his letters, we learn three doctrines of the Antichrist we need to watch for. The first teaching of the Antichrist is in 1 John 4 1-3. Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist. Put in modern terms the Antichrist will teach that “Christ was not REALLY fully human, like us.” To combat this false teaching John wrote: We have seen [Him] with our eyes… we have looked upon [Him], and our hands have handled [Him]… John was saying, “We know better than that! We saw Him, we were there with Him! We physically touched Him! We know for a fact He was fully human like us! Don’t be deceived.” Jesus was a real, physical human being, but He was also unique because He had God's Spirit "without measure." (John 3 34). And He was “God with us” (Matthew 1 23), the One who had been with the Father from eternity (John 1 14). Philippians 2 6-8 shows He did NOT hold on to His God level of existence, but instead, “emptied Himself” and became a man, like us. Being fully human, yet using the full strength of the Holy Spirit, He learned to fight, resist, and overcome sin in the face of temptation and suffering (Hebrews 5 8). We do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4 15). Having fully given up His God level of existence, He became a man, making it possible for Him to choose sin. Yet, He set the perfect example, lived in complete obedience, and showed us HOW to overcome sin. Jesus showed it is possible, which is why we are exhorted throughout scripture to also overcome sin and live in obedience to God's commandments. And this brings us to the second Antichrist teaching, that We do not need to keep the commandments of God. To combat this false idea, the Apostle John explained that Christians must strive to keep the commandments in order to live a life pleasing to God. Right after explaining that he and the other apostles knew for a fact that Jesus was fully human, John explains how a person can be sure they know God. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him (1 John 2 3-4). 1 John 5 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. And in 1 John 3 he explains that sin is the breaking of the laws of God, and that Christians must live a life of obedience. Paul also talked about the antichrist, calling him the "lawless one" that is, without law—specifically God’s laws. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders (2 Thessalonians 2 8-9). As we saw in a previous video, the antichrist will appear righteous but will be far from it, seeming to point the world to God, but will actually point people away from keeping ALL 10 commandments. Jesus warns, "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5 19). So, the second teaching of the antichrist that John specifically addresses is that we do not need to keep the commandments of God. The third teaching of the antichrist is Jesus Christ is not CURRENTLY coming (or living) in the flesh. 2 John 7 says, “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. This time instead of saying Jesus HAS come in the flesh, in the past, John says something about the PRESENT: That Jesus IS STILL COMING in the flesh TODAY, present tense. So, how does He live in the flesh now? The answer is, Christ lives in repentant, forgiven, and obedient Christians through the Holy Spirit. And He lives His same obedient life in them that He lived 2000 years ago, giving them the strength to fight and overcome sin, just as He did. #tomorrowsworld #twwhiteboard #antichrist
