The project is gradually forming a multi-layered transportation network at the intersection of Thang Long Boulevard, Ring Road 3.5, and the connecting route to National Highway 32. The Ring Road 3.5 – Thang Long Boulevard intersection holds a particularly important position in the transportation system of the western part of Hanoi. Thang Long Boulevard is a radial route connecting the center of Hanoi with Nam Tu Liem, Hoai Duc, Quoc Oai, Thach That, and the Hoa Lac area. Each branch bridge is approximately 8.8 meters wide, with two lanes, allowing vehicles to change direction without directly intersecting with other traffic on the road surface. The multi-tiered traffic organization is expected to reduce conflicts at the intersection, limit congestion, and increase traffic flow between Thang Long Boulevard, Ring Road 3.5, National Highway 32, and the urban areas in western Hanoi. As of July 2026, many large-scale bridge piers have been erected. Some branch bridge spans have been completed, while the remaining branches are under construction. The nearly 1 km long underpass is also gradually taking shape with retaining walls, access roads, and tunnel structures being implemented simultaneously. Notably, the project has passed the foundation construction phase and is beginning to enter the stage of clearly defined surface form. People passing through the An Khánh area can now directly observe the curved bridge sections, bridge piers, and access road system of the future interchange.
