It follows New York Jets quarterback Flash Gordon, who teams up with travel agent Dale Arden and scientist Dr. Zarkov to stop the evil Emperor Ming the Merciless from destroying Earth. They travel to the planet Mongo, where Flash unites warring factions, including the Hawkmen and the forest-dwelling Arboria, to lead a rebellion against Ming’s tyrannical rule.
